Get to know us

Equitecture, PLLC is a full-service, boutique Architectural Design firm, where we believe that thoughtful and sensitive design should be accessible to all - not just the elite few. Our focus is simple; engage our clients in a collaborative process that facilitates improving their quality of life through the built environment.

Equitecture was founded in 2023 by Alexandra Silansky, a Northern Virginia native who began her career in the DC Metro Region after graduating from Auburn University in 2009. Her experience in the commercial tenant interior and private medical design segments provided a strong foundation for her robust skillset - particularly space planning, efficiency and flow optimization - as well as an intimate knowledge of building codes, construction types and life safety elements

Alexandra moved to Florida and pursued three year stint in the commercial foodservice design industry, creating many of the local Tampa area bars and restaurants. Then, after another three years serving as the Florida Lead Architect for an Alabama based healthcare design firm, Alexandra decided to step out on her own. She has quickly gained a reputation with many local contractors for her thoughtful attention to detail, responsiveness and communication and excellent construction drawing sets that rival any larger firm with "brand recognition"

We have experience across a wide range of project typologies; from residential addition, remodel and new construction, commercial tenant interiors, landlord support, ADA compliance, bar/restaurant, and even Cannabis indoor grow warehouses. But most of all, we help people and our community. We assist with after the fact permit issues, inspection letters, and even support new and small businesses by offering discounted fees for our services.

We believe in the notion of community, and that our role as an Architect can make our communities better for everyone.
